what wil do for opening bmp, jpg and gif file in 3dmaxCan we open jpg file in 3dmax?
You can't really view images in 3ds max. Well you can but its not a picture viewer of any kind. It doesn't work the way a typical 2D program or viewer does.
You can however use a graphic for a viewport background. This comes in handy if you want to trace something.
You can also use graphics for textures and materials.
