if i studied 3dmax, can i get a job in animation industry....or i should do 1 year or 3 year diploma coursesto get job?? where should i study??? I had already created some cartoons in flash..in f6 way ...i want myself to be sure to do a graphics course else i have to do networkin' course ..bcause now what i need is a job...i really love animation..the thing is that i can't spend huge amount of money over my education now ...that's y i askin' for the courses 3dmax or maya ....i am more interested in creating cartoons not buildings or things like that.....i am a cs graduate too....I am very much interested in graphics %26amp; i can create some cartoonsof my own what'd i study ? 3dmax or maya??
Both Max and Maya have their uses and strong/weak points, why learn just one tool?
I'd start with Maya but that is really down to personal preference.
Also: ';if i studied 3dmax, can i get a job in animation industry'; -%26gt; No, you _might_ get a job, if you are talented and skilled and dedicated.I am very much interested in graphics %26amp; i can create some cartoonsof my own what'd i study ? 3dmax or maya??
you have to learn both 3ds max and maya... cuz 3ds max is like a basic to maya...
you can choose f 8 it is good and better then f6 . ok
It is good but if you want to make some picture both software is good and 3d max is easy then Maya so you have to learn 3dmax first and after that you can learn Maya
Maya is a most important software pls learn it and give us to new cartoonz ok
remember first you have to learn 3dmax because I know that very well thats way i am saying to you .
ok good bye
firstly confirm ur self then u r the one to choose both i think.so 3d max is right way to enter ur future.scout surveys .com may help u for study in this ok. googluck.
i think u should go for 3dmax......i know a frendof mine had similar interst .............she did it............shes quite successful................if u hav doubts....better.go for counselling......hp its helpful...
my suggestion is to buy a couple of programs, and leanr how to do some 3D art, some flash animation, and some basic computer graphics. see how you cope, and then think about studying it. no point enrolling in a long course if you're only going to struggle and hate it. (that's assuming of course you odn't already indulge in computer graphic already)

3dmax mapping/rendering question?
I'm no 3dmax expert, so your help would be greatly appreciated.
- So what I'm trying to do is, I've got a picture where I added a cigarette (with help from some online tutorials I got the smoke effect etc ) into it. I just simply mapped the picture I'm using onto a box for the background and modeled and placed the cigarette to make it look plausible.
But when I render the short video, although the rendition of the cigarette appearance and effects satisfies me, the background picture also takes on the visual that it was rendered, which is NOT what I want. I want the background to stay completely still and just make the cigarette the only object to animate. How could I edit this to have the rendition not make the picture in the background flicker and make it look fuzzy etc?3dmax mapping/rendering question?
Choose Environment from the Rendering menu.
In the dialog that pops up press the Environment Map button, double click Bitmap in the list then pick your background picture.
Check the Use Map option.
Dont know if your version of max matches mine exactly, but the principle is the same for all of them.rash cream colour foundation facial place numbering

What is calibrating in the 3dmax?
Since every hardware setup is different, calibration is necessary to achieve the output you'll expect. The vendor doesn't know the type of monitor or camera you own nor their characteristics. Therefore, internal software adjustments are made to your installed configuration. In this manner, future use of the software will operate optimally and any print outs produced will look as expected.
